Tonni Laha Roy often known as Tonni Roy, is an Indian actress, model, and social media influencer from Kolkata. Roy is famous for her roles in Bengali TV serials. Tonni Laha Roy was born on 27th July 1993 in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. She was born into a Hindu family in West Bengal to father Partha Pratim Laha Roy and mother Sudeshna Laha Roy.
Tonni Laha Roy is best known as the actor who played Torsha Modak in the serial Mithai. The serial is telecast on Zee Bangla. Apart from being a famous TV serial actress, she is also known for the controversy of 2018 where she filed a complaint against a man to the cyber-crime cell of Kolkata Police for abusing her by sending her explicit photographs of herself. This was however resolved afterward by the police.
After completing her graduation from Kolkata University she started her career as an actor with the Bengali serial Tumi Robe Nirobe in 2014 which aired on Zee Bangla. Carrying on with her acting career, she later worked in Colors Bangla’s BeneBou in 2016, Star Jalsha’sTecca Raja Badsha in 2018, Ajob Premer Golpo (movie), and Zee Bangla’s Mithai in 2021 where she played the character Torsha Modak.
