Zarna Garg is an Indian-American stand-up comedian, actress, screenwriter, social media celebrity, Instagram star, digital content creator, and internet personality. Zarna Garg was born and raised on 20 June 1975 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She is 47 year old as of 2022.
She is known for her works in Rearranged, Sundays with Seema (2021), and To the Letter (2021). She has won numerous accolades and awards including the Best Comedy Screenplay Award at the 2019 Austin Film Festival for Rearranged, which was her debut romantic comedy screenplay. It was also a 2019 Academy Nicholl Fellowships Semi-Finalist. Her best stand-up comedy videos on her YouTube channel are “The Religions in a Nutshell,” “Any Yogi’s out There?” and “Happy Father’s Day!”
She lived in Mumbai during her teenage. Sadness befell her life when she lost her mother at the age of fifteen. When her father insisted on her marriage after the death of her mother, she moved out of her house to stay with her friends and eventually moved to Ohio, United States to live with her sister. She attended law school for a while and became a screenwriter. Later, she found that stand-up comedy was what gave her the most kick. So, she started participating in events and soon she was a popular comedian.
In 1998, Zarna got married to Shalabh Garg and gave birth to three children. As her career as a comedian began to prosper, she started winning awards for her works. For instance, in 2021 she won Kevin Hart’s comedy competition on Peacocok, “Lyft Comics.”
Zarna joined YouTube on 13th February 2019 with her video “What If Your Children Don’t Want To Marry Indian? – Zarna Garg.” The video performed poorly in the beginning. “Do You Say I Love You? | With Gianmarco Soresi,” uploaded on 28th May 2022, became her first video to go viral on YouTube. As of July 15th 2022, it has garnered over 1.32 million views, and has become the third most popular video on her YouTube channel.
