Margo Lorenz, who was born Margit Markus, was a famous Austrian- British film and television actress, model, additional crew member, media sensation, fitness enthusiast, and public figure. Lorenz is best remembered as the actress from 1957\u2019s \u2018The Ransom of Sigmund Freud\u2019 episode of the 1955-1958 drama\/ horror\/ mystery Television series called \u2018MATINEE THEATRE\u2019 which starred John Conte as the host, Peter Hansen as Fred Purdy, Jonny Crawford as Dickie Browning, Sarah Churchill as Charlotte Lovell, and Peggy McCay as Edith. This NBC (National Broadcasting Company) was released initially on the 31st<\/sup> of October 1955 in the United States. It went on to become one of the most successful shows of the time, earning a Primetime Emmy Award for Best Contributing to Daytime Programming and a Golden Globe for Television Achievement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Margit Markus, aka Margo Lorenz, was born in the year 1930 (46 years old at the time of death). She was born in Vienna, Austria to Jewish parents. Her parents\u2019 marriage was not so strong and it eventually ended in divorce. Margo started out as a struggler in Hollywood and took up smallest jobs offered to her. Her first job was that of a stand-in for Ava Gardner in \u2018THE BAREFOOT CONTESSA\u2019 in 1954. A year later, she got her big break and starred as Leah in the drama film \u2018OUT OF THE CLOUDS,\u2019 written by John Eldridge and Michael Relph and directed by Basil Dearden. Though it starred big stars like Anthony Steel and Robert Beatty, it failed at the box office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
