Maureen Grise Cavanagh is an American professional photographer, photo editor, and media personality. Besides, she is the wife of famous Canadian actor Thomas ‘Tom’ Cavanagh. Tom is a Golden Globe – nominated actor known best for playing Ed Stevens in the Television series Ed (2000 – 2004). The series was created by Jon Beckerman and Rob Burnett, and it starred actors Julie Bowen as Carol Vessey, Josh Randall as Mike Burton, Jana Marie Hupp as Nancy Burton, and Lesley Boone as Molly Hudson.

Maureen Grise Cavanagh was born and brought up in the United States of America and she was born in the year 1 May 1970 (52 years old). She went to International Center of Photography 2006 and attended Extensive classes in Lighting, Portraiture, and Picture Editing. Prior to that, she went to S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University from 1989 to 1993 and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Photojournalism. In 1998, she attended Summer Semester Workshop in Publishing, Business at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. She acquired her Master’s Degree in Journalism from Columbia University – Graduate School of Journalism after attending the course from 1996 to 1997.

In January 1991, Maureen started working as a Photo Editor/Lab Technician at The Post – Standard in Syracuse, New York. Then, she became Producer at Eddie Adams Photography Workshop in January 1996, which was followed by her job as Creative Director at The Player’s Tribune in 2014. She also worked previously as Deputy Photo Editor at Sports Illustrated from June 1993 to April 2007. As of today, she works as the Photo Editor for The New York Times. She has been working there since September 2020.
